At daily.dev, in addition to designing marketing assets, I took on the responsibility of building and maintaining brand awareness. When we introduced the "Squads" feature, we needed to establish our own squads to initiate the social aspect on the platform. Squads function similarly to groups, allowing members to share posts with their friends. I was responsible for designing branding for each squad and developing templates for their posts.

Creating diverse brandings was both challenging and enjoyable. I found a lot of joy in this task because I had complete creative freedom. It was essential for them to look distinct from daily.dev's branding, requiring me to exercise creativity.

Creating these mini-brands for squads was enjoyable – each aimed to evoke a specific feeling. In marketing and sales, it's like asking someone on a date, and the brand is the reason they say yes. It has to convey the brand essence upon exposure. Think of brands like Apple; they're the good-looking individuals. Yet, it's crucial not to judge a brand by appearances, although, unfortunately, in this industry, looks often determine success. Brands, much like people, have personalities.
